I am very excited by the positive response seen to antibody treatment on the whole --- my understanding is that the COG trial was formulated based on the success seen at Sloan with their antibody trial.  I was not aware that it was not 3F8 but indeed ch.14.18.   My son, Menschi (2 y.o.), is currently 2 treatments into 3F8 and i'm just wondering why one vs. another, is it a possibly to switch mid-trial (prob. not) or even do that antibody trial afterwards (they're expecting his HAMA to be too high to get more than 4 rounds.  My son was orig dx with stage IV NB in Jan 08 with nmyc amp, Thnk Gd, declared NED Dec 08, and began 3F8 in JAn 09.

Also, can you tell me more about the vaccine you did with your daughter?  is that the one with epstein Barr virus they administer in Texas?

I'm trying to give my son the edge he needs to beat NB in whatever way we can.  knowledge, i believe, is power.

Sincerely,

Miriam Landon

wow...

I am speechless... our hospital told us that protocol was closed because kids had bad reactions to a product involved in it... 2 weeks before our daughter could enter it...

 and now it's wonderfully good?
