Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation to host Spirits of Hope tasting at Cooper’s Hawk
Good food. Good wine. Good cause. The Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (CNCF) presents “Spirits of Hope” wine and hors d’oeuvres tasting on March 21 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Cooper’s Hawk restaurant and winery, 798 W. Arlington Heights Rd.
The event is being hosted with Presenting Sponsor Pro Long Tool of West Chicago and owners Steve and Patty Joyaux, and Gold Sponsor Mayer Hoffman McCann of CBIZ auditing firm. Proceeds will benefit neuroblastoma research and education programs. Advanced tickets are $40 and $50 at the door. To purchase tickets, visit www.cncfhope.org/spiritsofhope
The food and wine connoisseurs at Cooper’s Hawk have assembled a menu of tasty bites and accompanying spirits. Attendees can purchase raffle tickets for a drawing to win prizes that include a gift certificate for dance lessons and weekend hotel stays.
“You don’t have to know about us or neuroblastoma to come to this event,” said Pat Tallungan, CNCF president. “But it’s a great way to get to know us and to network. So we hope that foodies from Chicago, northwest Cook and DuPage Counties will come out to meet new people and support our mission.”
“Coooper’s Hawk is a plum location in an area that has a multitude of restaurants with waiting lists on the weekends,” she continued. “Spirits of Hope is a great way to get acquainted with the food and wine without the wait.”
CNCF is an Illinois-based 501c3 nonprofit founded by parents of children with neuroblastoma as a resource for families coping with the disease. It also helps fund select research projects aimed at a cure or prevention.
