HOUSTON – Registration is open for the 9th annual Amazing Grace Golf Classic on June 12. And this year, both the classic and its NFL host Ryan Pickett, are playing in new locations.
Pickett, formerly of the Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers (2010), now plays defense for the Houston Texans. And Amazing Grace has moved to the luxurious Golf Club of Houston, in Humble, Texas, home of the Shell Houston Open.
Pickett will be joined by baseball great Bret Saberhagen, the Cy Young Award-winning pitcher, and compete against teams of four golfers. Foursomes are $1,300 and sponsorships are still available.
At CNCF, we’re hoping that Pickett’s local outreach will increase interest in the event and raise awareness of neuroblastoma. The golf tournament was created in honor of neuroblastoma victim Grace Scasny, who died in October 2006 at age 2. Amazing Grace has raised more than $300,000 for CNCF. On June 12, there will be two shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and play will be immediately followed by dinner and an awards ceremony.
