Allie & Friends Golf Classic Raises $135,000 for Neuroblastoma

The 2010 Allie & Friends Golf Classic attracted an impressive line-up of golfers and local celebrities

Chicago -- 27 May 2010 --  Earlier this month, Indianapolis Colt and Chicago area native, Ryan Diem hosted the Allie & Friends Golf Classic ( in Lake in the Hills, IL.  This year’s event attracted more than 300 participants and raised more than $135,000 to benefit the Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (   Local celebrities in attendance at this year’s event included the Bears’ Robbie Gould and former Hawk’s Stan Mikita and Denis Savard.
Allie & Friends was founded in 2005 by Scott and Kristin Jewson when their friends, Brian and Keri Neff, received the devastating news that their two year old daughter Allie had stage IV neuroblastoma. For two years, Allie courageously battled cancer, undergoing chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, isolation, radiation and surgery. In the end, she lost her fight two months before her fourth birthday. Allie is the inspiration for this annual event.
