“Socially Aware” A Non Profit Fair” hosts CNCF
The Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation will be among 22 Chicago-area charities to be featured at “Socially Aware: A Non Profit Fair” on Friday, April 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hotel Sax, 333 N. Dearborn St., Chicago.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at http://sociallyaware.eventbrite.com/. The charity that sells the most tickets will receive a share of the profits. So get your tickets today! The evening will include a one-hour hosted bar by Conjure cognac, appetizers and thousands of dollars worth of prizes, including an expense-paid trip to Las Vegas for two.
The fair is intended as a fun way for attendees to network and learn about charitable work and how they can become involved. CNCF families are encouraged to attend to find out what we’ve been up to and how they can get involved in CNCF fundraising activities.
“With federal contributions to cancer research being cut, we’re going to have to step up our fundraising in 2011 if we want to maximize our contributions to research and education,” said CNCF President Pat Tallungan. “Support from CNCF families is critical to our ongoing campaign to raise awareness and fund a cure.”
The Non Profit Fair, in its second year, was created by 220 Communications, a marketing and media company that creates and hosts special events designed to raise awareness about charitable causes, entrepreneurial endeavors and new products through creative networking experiences.
Some of the other participating charities include Imerman Angels; Jimmy Insulin; the United Way; the Azumah Student Assistance Program (A.S.A.P); the Aparecio Foundation; Urban Art Retreat; Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC); Girls In The Game; Her Crown and Glory; Advocates For Adolescent Mothers; Big Love Little Hearts; Promoting Awareness Victim Empowerment (PAVE); Urban Gateways; Lungevity; and South Central Community Services.
“Socially Aware” is sponsored by 220 Publishing; Conjure; Charity Chat Online; The Local Tourist; Yessur & iMpres Bodycare; and Authenticity, the Game.
